Well, once again, not today, and it's looking like it won't be tomorrow either. Almost there.... I promise we will have registration online.

Also, good luck on those finals!
EDIT: Nevermind. I just got mine. The e-mails must be stacked.

It's for every club member. I got the email a few minutes ago.

"Good news everyone! The online registration will be up and functioning starting June 24th! We know it'll be tough getting in those pre-registrant packages before the doors open, so we've provided a laptop on the steps outside. Hope to see you there, Transfans!"
(later)
"Sorry guys, looks like the registration info won't be up until the 27th, and hopefully no later! Almost there, Transfans! We apologize for any inconvenience."
Of course, it could just be my amusement with the word "transfans" talking...

And probally 2 or 3 dudes in some college dorm are hard at work treying to put together the most ghetto website ever from scratch. Heck, I once knew this airheaded girl from Cali who opened up a website to sell candy gift baskets online with credit cards....How hard could it be ???
I dont mean to upset anyone with my sarcasm, but this is going to be my first (and maybe last) Botcon and Im not getting a good first impression. If theyre having problems getting this right, what else will go wrong ??? Lost registrations when I arrive ??? Missing box sets ??? No show guests ??? Food poisoning from the awards dinner ???
Cmon' guys....Step up your game !!!

"Go Live" ??? They talk about it like if they were broadcasting a sporting event. Its a friggin website !!! You program it to do what you want it to do and then it works. Bad websites mean bad programers. This is what happens when you try to save money by giving a job to somebody without the proper training.

"Go Live" is the term that is used whenever a website goes up for the first time. It's a legitimate term.

Will it be Friday?
With 40 days remaining?
With 35 days remaining?
30?
20?
etc.
Rather than get upset about it, make money off of everyone else's frustration... then buy the darn figures online

Agreed. "Go Live" is the term we use.
The whole website deal with them is really frustrating to me as I've got 10 years of e-commerce website development experience and have worked on hundreds of e-commerce sites during that time. A few things come to mind at this point ...
1) The client didn't give the programmers enough time to program the website.
2) The programmers said they could meet an unrealistic deadline and didn't take testing into account with their timeline.
3) Someone who doesn't know what they're doing is programming this.
I'm a little concerned about giving my credit card information at this point if they're having this many problems this close to the actual event. I hope to god whoever's working on their site knows what they're doing with the credit card side of things.

I think the anger level will have a lot to do with how long the club lines are on Thursday night. If we get registration shortly, right or wrong a lot of people will forgive Fun Pub by the time the Con rolls around. However, if we're stuck for 3-5 hrs again in the lines this year it could get pretty ugly.

Actually, they already have such a thread on the Collector's Club forum, albeit not a serious one.
