Reproduction Japanese Transformers Headmasters!

Not sure what the story is with these unofficial reproductions of the extremely rare and very expensive Japanese Transformers Headmaster heads, but lo and behold ... they're popping up on eBay. Buyers beware that the prices on these things are all over the board. You can find a set of all 6 for around $130 if you're patient. In the meantime, here are some for your viewing pleasure from eBay seller tfmart_store.

1. Transformers Headmasters Trizer Japanese Exclusive
2. Transformers Headmasters Lione Japanese Exclusive
3. Transformers Headmasters Kirk Japanese Exclusive Repro
4. Transformers Headmasters Lodoni Japanese Exclusive

Just for the sake of comparison, here's an original Headmasters Trizer MISB for a BIN of $599. All of a sudden the reproductions don't look like a bad deal, huh? Be patient though ... like I said the reproductions are all over the board.

Transformer BotCon 2010 G2 Redux BREAKDOWN

By now I'm sure you've heard that site sponsor BigBadToyStore.com will be the exclusive U.S. retailer of the upcoming reissue of the G1 Piranacon (Seacons) set (site sponsor RobotKingdom's getting them too). Not fond of some of the color changes made to the reissue? Well, how about an original Piranacon from eBay seller powermaster-ed.

eBay seller treasurezz has recently listed a bunch of very cool Transformers artwork, some of which was used in the Transformers Genesis book.

Note: I am unsure if this is the original artwork or reproductions of the original artwork. Please let us know by clicking on "Discuss" for this topic if you have more information about this artwork.

Funny that the Headmaster remakes finally make it here. 2 weeks ago I ran into them on ioffer.com. This guy has been selling these like hot cakes in box sets of 10 (6 Japanese exclusives, 1 Fortress Maximus Spike, 1 Grand Maximus Spike, 1 Lord Zorak & 1 Black Zorak). He's letting them go for $100 shipped to the states. I ordered mine but I haven't got the set to see how good the quality is.

He is also selling the extremely exclusive white edition headmasters set of 6 for $220 plus shipping. His store link is http://headmaster1987.ioffer.com/. I asked a different guy who was selling a single Headmaster reissue on ebay about the quality compared to the G1 Headmasters and he said they were the same.

Any reason you are promoting such blatant scalping, Seibertron? While I don't mind someone trying to make a few bucks, that tfmart_store seller would be making around $300 if all of those sell for the BIN price. He bought one of the sets on eBay for $104 (with S/H) and promptly listed them. I'm just thankful he didn't buy more for scalping purposes. I know another guy who bought 6 sets from eBay and seems to be selling or has sold about 3 or 4 of them.

When I posted this last night I didn't know about the set on ioffer until Crisdecal made mention of it. Me posting those got some of you guys to talk about where else to find these things for a reasonable price. I've since contacted the seller on ioffer to find out about how we can promote these on Seibertron.com and inform the rest of the community about these.

Again, I'm glad you have the disclaimer, but you are just giving that guy more traffic for free. I would, personally, pull the links on those auctions here on Seibertron. If people want to find them, they can look. There should be a separate thread made for awareness and pricing regarding these KOs. They have been around since December of 2009. They have recently surfaced in greater numbers now thanks to the maker/seller over at iOffer. I believe the guy over on eBay is a friend of the iOffer seller.

As for contacting the seller over at iOffer, good luck with that. He speaks little to no English. Otherwise he would be posting on more English TF forums.

These are featured ebay auctions. That doesn't mean these are good deals or that you should buy them. I understand your concerns and even share some of them, but I'm going to leave it because it's an interest piece.

We've already been in contact with each other. I'm waiting on a 2nd response from him. Seems like a nice guy. Hope we can spread the word some more about this product he made.

That's fine. This is an interesting piece of TF news. However, I don't think it deserves highlighting scalpers. That is my humble opinion.

And yes, the seller seems nice, but his English is not very good. Unless you know Chinese (or know of someone that speaks and reads Chinese), I'm not sure how far you are going to get.

If you would like some more info on these, maybe check out some related threads over at TFW2005 (I can post links if you desire). There has been some heated talk regarding these KOs.

I'd be interested in seeing someone such as yourself start some similar threads here on Seibertron.com to see where our own conversations go.

Sure, I'm game. Problem is, the traffic is considerably slower. Plus there is a KO thread in the toy forum here. Still, I think these HM KOs deserve their own thread.

Sorry to say, Seibertron's forum traffic. Topics tend to die rather quickly over here versus TFW2005. Just an observation on my part.

*Disclaimer*
This is not a slam against Seibertron. I love the site dearly. I've followed it for about 10 years now.

EDIT: It would also appear he's using one of your photos for his Classics Rodimus auction, Ryan. Again, not sure I would be highlighting this guy's auctions.

I think it's just a matter of perspective. While some of the forum topics on Seibertron.com might not be as popular as they are on TFW, I definitely think we have our fair share of things that are extremely popular here. Seibertron.com and TFW2005.com have battled for at least the past 5 years for the spot of the #1 Transformers site. It's a fun rivalry to say the least. I think Seibertron.com might attract more "lurkers" where TFW attracts more vocal people. Though we've got an incredible group of people participating now on Seibertron.com thanks to an incredible staff that really kicks ass.

Here're some fun stats for you from Compete.com about the two sites:

http://siteanalytics.compete.com/seiber ... w2005.com/

Unique Visitors (past 12 months)
seibertron.com 107,474
tfw2005.com 73,639
allspark.com 4,714

# of visits (past 12 months) ... though I would strongly dispute this number for both sites
seibertron.com 289,349
tfw2005.com 369,134
allspark.com 41,369

Worldwide Traffic Rank according to Compete.com
seibertron.com 20,633
tfw2005.com 30,245
allspark.com 343,106

And from Alexa.com (where we've slipped during the past 6 months) ...

Worldwide Traffic Rank according to Alexa.com

seibertron.com 39,431
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/seibertron.com

tfw2005.com 29,438
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/tfw2005.com

allspark.com 151,669
http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/allspark.com

And more about Seibertron.com from Google's AdPlanner:
https://www.google.com/adplanner/site_p ... on.com&b=1

Thanks for the compliments about the site. I hope you'll be here for at least another 10 years. We could really use some more active forum members like yourself who can help spread the word about items like this.

Thank you for those stats. I do agree with you on the part about Seibertron lurkers. I certainly qualified as one for a number of years (did have another username waaaaaay back when). I personally like the Seibertron forums better. I like to be able to edit the title of my thread without having to request such from a mod. Gets to be tedious. Plus the posters here are usually more friendly. Of course there are those that post in both.

Also, I noticed a new subforum for KOs. Did you just create that today? I don't recall seeing it before now.

I appreciate the support but the attack on Tirade is unnecessary. He's expressing his views, which he's allowed to do, regardless if all of us agree with his opinion or not. Please refrain from attacking other members in the future. Thanks.

Not surprisingly, those Headmaster listings have been cancelled. eBay probably spotted the KO listings and put the hammer down.

@Crisdecal - I would like some cheese with my whine ;)
