Just like almost every year in the past, the BotCon exclusive figures are starting to slip out of factories and onto auction sites prior to the event. Thanks to this
TaoBao auction we get our first in-hand image of Gigatron (Overlord). This "Invasion" boxset figure makes use of the
HFTD Voyager Bludgeon mold with a new head, which unfortunately cannot be seen in the is auction since the figure is only shown in tank mode. Take a look at the non photoshopped figure in vehicle mode below.

IDW to Appear at First UK Convention in February
Publisher will have booth, panels, exclusives at the inaugural London Super Comic
Convention
San Diego, CA (January 16, 2012)—IDW Publishing will be attending our first-ever UK comic convention when the inaugural London Super Comic Convention, kicks off the weekend of February 25th. In addition to having a booth on the show floor, IDW’s Chief Creative Offier/Editor-in-Chief Chris Ryall will be in attendance participating in an IDW panel, doing portfolio reviews, and promising an exclusive announcement or two as well. The show is billing itself as “the U.K.’s Biggest American Creator-Driven Comic Convention.”
“I’m very happy to be present at the debut London Super Comic show and meeting the fans,” said Chris Ryall. “In fact, I feel like I owe it to our loyal UK fans to make a good first impression at one of their cons, so I’ll be announcing at least one gigantic new series, if not more.”
In addition to portfolio reviews, fans will have chance to pick up a con-exclusive cover for Infestation 2: Transformers, and get books signed by Ryall and creators such as Tony Lee, J.K. Woodward, Phil Jimenez, and others. A full signing and panel schedule will be announced as soon as it is finalized.

Savannah Georgia's first annual
Savcon Unofficial Transformers Convention has announced their schedule. Savcon writes:
Savcon is Savannah, Georgia’s First yearly unofficial Transformers convention, it will be held on June 23rd and June 24th, 2012. We are offering a family friendly environment for families and fans of the franchise to come and enjoy all of the events over the weekend. With the popularity of the recent Live Action Transformer movies, which have grossed $3Billion worldwide, non-profit fan Conventions, like ours, are growing at an alarming rate around the country to give fans a chance to meet Hollywood Movie Stars and Voice Actors from their favorite Transformers animated/live action Universe. If you were hoping to register for Iacon non-attending packages for
BotCon 2012 this week then you are out of luck. The TFCC sent out an email to members saying that they were working on a minor software update. Hopefully they will have non-attending registration middle of next week.

BotCon has officially revealed
Shattered Glass Ultra Magnus from this year's convention exclusive "Invasion" boxset. The figure is a Diaclone Powered Convoy colored repaint of
Reveal the Shield Deluxe G2 Optimus Prime with a new head sculpt. The head appears to be the
alternate head that was featured on Reveal the Shield G2 Optimus Prime's instruction sheet. Take a look the figure in both modes below.

Thanks to
an ebay auction we now have robot-mode images of the upcoming BotCon exclusive Octopunch.
Octopunch is based on the G1 Pretender of the
same name, as you can see he's based on the HFTD
Seaspray mold, and does not feature a new head. Oh and do you notice how the faction symbol is red, which means he's Shattered Glass? Well, congrats to those who spotted that back with the first
image we saw of him.
